iCandy are always searching for new and exciting ways to help make a parent’s life easier, and with it being the beginning of a New Year, exercise is very much on the agenda for many people. iCandy realise that regular gym sessions do become a lot harder when you’ve got a child to think about. So they’ve decided to solve this problem, the luxury pushchair brand have teamed up with the experts at Men’s Fitness to provide an extensive workout that provides the bonus of some valuable bonding time!
The set of four exercises is aimed at adventurous parents, the stroller of choice for the Men’s Fitness project was the iCandy Peach All Terrain. What’s more, from April 2016 onwards, the new All Terrain will be going on sale, with the launch of the stunning Eclipse
The Peach All Terrain in Eclipse
The Peach All Terrain is the ultimate versatile travel system, it is the pushchair for parents who want to show their child how to enjoy life to the maximum. Modern sleek curves, combined with soft touch sport fabrics and simplistic styling make the All-Terrain stand out from the competition.
The four exercises are relatively simple, and can be accomplished when using the All-Terrain.
The Peek-a-boo Burpee
Firstly, there is the peek a boo burpee, which will require 15 reps. To begin, start from a standing position, drop down and place your hands on the floor outside your feet, Jump your feet backwards and assume the top press up position. Once in the press up position jump back so your feet are between your hands again and spring up…Don’t forget to say peek-a-boo.
The Reverse Lunge
The next exercise is the reverse lunge, to achieve this simply stand tall and hold the handlebar of the All-Terrain, ensuring you keep your core muscles braced, take a big step backwards and lunge down until both knees are bent at 90 degrees. Drive up through your front heel and return to the start position. Repeat this motion with the other leg.
The Pushchair Squat
Next up is the pushchair squat, in order to do this hold the pushchair handle, now with your feet shoulder width apart, squat down slowly, keeping your chest up and back up straight, until your thighs are at least horizontal. Pause at the bottom of the movement, then push the stroller away from your body, before bringing it in close, repeat this ten times to complete one rep.
The high five sit up
Finally, the routine is completed by the high five sit up, hook your feet on the front wheel of the Pushchair and lie flat on your back. Bend at the waist and hips to sit up and high-five your child. Then return to the start.
With it being the beginning of the New Year it is the perfect time to begin exercising again after the Christmas break. Exercise is a large part of life for a growing number of parents, and it can become difficult to remain healthy and find time to exercise after the birth of a child. So if you don’t fancy exchanging adventure for sleepless nights, maybe it’s time to try the All-Terrain.
