She’s currently expecting her second child with long-term partner Matthew Wolfenden.

And Charley Webb looked as though she could hardly contain her excitement as she celebrated the pending arrival of her little one with a star-studded baby shower held at Manchester’s Cassie Lomas Makeup Academy last week.

The 27-year-old actress was joined at the upbeat bash – which boasted an old-school DJ, two musicians and an array of fancy cocktails – by Emmerdale co-star Lucy Parteger, as well as the soap’s former stars Sheree Murphy and Sammy Winward.

Choosing to leave her baby’s gender a surprise, the 27-year-old actress told OK! magazine: ‘I’m more excited than nervous. I’m counting down the days to my due date – I can’t wait to meet him or her.’

But while Charley’s new addition is due as soon as next month, the busy blonde revealed she won’t be wrapping up her time on the Emmerdale set until just weeks before her due date, though she’s already starting to feel the strain.

‘I’m working until two weeks before my due date so that has kind of taken my mind off the fact I’m in the last stages of pregnancy,’ she dished.

‘I can feel myself getting more and more tired, so it’ll be nice to have some rest before the baby arrives.’

The Bury-born beauty also confirmed that she will consider her close friends and baby shower guests Sheree, Sammy, and her best friend Kate for guardian duties if she and fiance Matthew choose to have a naming ceremony.

Charley reiterated her baby joy over the weekend when she shared a snap of her tot’s hanging-style cot, which was adorned in pretty white drapes.

Opting for a look that was both stylish and comfortable for her special day, Charley showcased her burgeoning baby bump in a fitted purple pencil dress, which she paired with patent black shoe boots.

The actress prevented the look from being too formal by wearing her caramel locks in a disheveled low ponytail, while her make-up look was soft and understated.

The TV star is already the mother of her five-year-old son Buster, whom she and Matthew welcomed in April 2010.

The Emmerdale co-stars went on to announce in August 2013 that they were calling time on romance, though insisted they would remain friends for the sake of their son.

But their split was short-lived as the twosome reconciled in 2014, before revealing in June this year that they were to welcome another child.
