Maclaren and BMW have teamed up to produce a limited edition BMW branded stroller. It has proved very popular with consumers and BMW fans.
What’s in the box:
Stroller: A BMW stroller, rainmac, seat pads, basket.
First Impressions: The stroller is alot smaller than I expected it would be. The handles do not extend but it does have swivel wheels which is always something I look for when buying a stroller. The design is so sleek and alot of thought has clearly gone into producing it. It bears alot of similarities to the BMW car and I can’t help but really like it.
Design: Available in Black Silver and Blue it is hard to pick a favorite out of the three colours. There is a insignia buckle on the 5 point harness and the trade mark BMW badge on each of the wheels. I do think it could be improved by using the same wheels they use for the Maclaren XT which are bigger and look more duarble. The BMW design is very sleek and subtle, providing a very smooth design without being over the top.
Seat and Recline : The seat is one of the key design features. It is beautifully padded to reflect the BMW car seat. Multiple recline positions are available ensuring your little one can nap comfortably.
Basket: The basket is fairly small but you have to bear in mind that this is a lightweight stroller. With it being so compact, you would have enough room to store a changing bag or 1 bag of shopping underneath.
Fold : The lightweight chassis means that the stroller folds easily in the same way as other Maclaren strollers. It is light to lift and you could comfortably pick it up whilst holding a child in the other hand.
Accessories : The Universal Organiser, Universal Expandable Footmuff, Universal Insulated Pannier, Messenger Bag, Lightweight Storage Bag, Cup Holder, Park Blanket, and an Umbrella and Storage Case are available to buy separately. They are all so beautifully designed, once you have purchased the stroller, I think you would be tempted to buy them all.
Hood: One of my favorite parts of the stroller is the hood. It has two viewing windows which look similar to a rear window in a BMW car and you can see your child whilst you are pushing them along.
Overall Verdict: The stroller is suitable from 6 months. It is a great compact, lightweight stroller but appears quite small in comparison to other strollers. For travel or placing in the car boot it is ideal and certainly fits into the ‘top of the range lightweight strollers’ box.
Overall Verdict: 4/5
