First Impressions: Quite possibly love at first sight! the colour is so bold yet warm, I can’t wait to start pushing. It has a large basket, good size hood and nicely padded seat.
What’s in the Box: 1 Sola Pushchair, Hood, Rainmac, Basket.
Design: Available in a variety colours, I love the fact that Mamas and Papas have yet again introduced a range of bold and bright colours that ooze style and cater for parents that are looking for something stylish to transport their little ones in. It is clear that alot of thought and design have gone into the Sola. The pushchair seat is both forward and rear facing which is a feature many parents look for. It has an adjustable leg rest which can be adjusted by pressing a button on either side of the leg rest.
Seat and Recline: Suitable from birth, the padded seat lays completely flat and has a 5 point harness, so you could secure your baby quite comfortably. If you would rather, you can purchase the car seat or carrycot which is a great size separately. The straps are easy to adjust and by simply pressing the recline mechanism behind the seat, you can adjust the seat into a variety of positions with ease. I managed to do this when Eva had fallen asleep very easily and without waking her.
Basket: I love the large shopping basket underneath. It is perfect for placing a big bag and lots of shopping in. It is nice to know that you can walk into town and not have to worry about hanging things onto the pushchair or running out of space.
Fold: The Sola is easy to fold and lays very flat once collapsed. It weighs 10kg in weight and I would recommend lifting it with two hands if placing inside a car boot.
Accessories: A matching carrycot, car seat and footmuff are available to buy separately. The rain mac included is great. Mamas and Papas, take into consideration the little things and don’t try to save on the big details. The rain mac is generous in size and very easy to put on and take off. I am confident that it would last a few years without ripping.
Hood: The hood is larger than normal. It really blocks the wind and when your child is sleeping, you can pull it down which creates a nice cocoon feel whilst they are sleeping. There is also a magnetic viewing window on top which again, is one of my favorite features.
Overall Verdict: I would have been very happy with this travel system if I had purchased it when Eva was a baby. She is a vey tall toddler at 21 months old and can look to big for some other pushchairs but the Sola is still ideal for her as her legs do not hang out the bottom, she sleeps really well in it and is clearly happy and comfortable. One of my favorite pushchairs of the year so far!
The only one drawback for me is, I wish it had swivel wheels!
Overall Score: 4/5
