This wooden Easel from ELC is the ideal gift for little artists and allows them to simply create and explore imaginative play in a fun environment.
The Easel came flat packed with simple instructions on how to assemble it. Even for the most basic builder it is incredibly simple to put together. The legs need screwing into the back and the paper holder on to the front but after around 15 minutes of assembly you will be ready to start.
It is always a good idea to lay down a sheet of some sort if you are painting indoors and worried about the mess your little one could make.
We invested in a paint splat apron for £5 and were very impressed in the a) the cost price and b) how easy it was to put on and take off. Sometimes aprons can be tight on the wrists but this one has soft material and elastic on the wrist parts. Eva didn’t complain once. I simply put it on and fastened it at the top back. She didn’t feel restricted and I was happy as her clothes were protected.
Double Sided: Not only can you switch from one activity to another, you can set up your own carousel of play. As there are two sides, it is great for siblings or when you have someone over to play.
The chalk board is a really good size. You can also buy 20 coloured chalks for £4.00 which will provide you with hours of chalking fun. They don’t make a lot of mess and I really enjoyed discussing the different colours with Eva and drawing colourful pictures together.
The handy painting trays hold the paints in really well. I squeezed a little bit of paint in each one and Eva drew six different pictures. I really thought the paper roll holder was a great touch. It holds the paper in place and you can fix it to the board with the four magnets provided.
When you are finished creating, you simply remove the tray and the easel folds flat. This has to be one of my favourite creative toys that we have used. Eva was delighted with it and I know that it will be used for many times to come.
You can also purchase the complete Easel Accessory for £20. This includes different rollers, paints, sponges, crayons and more! it really is a great bumper box. Eva loved the rollers and made lots of creative patters.
