Holly Willoughby made a welcome return to This Morning on Tuesday, albeit via telephone, after calling in to talk about the birth of her third child with husband Dan Baldwin.
The 33-year-old presenter welcomed son Chester William on Monday, but she admits the newborn’s name is already a bone of contention with Harry, her oldest son with TV producer Dan.
Speaking to close friend Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden – her cover while she’s on maternity leave, Holly said: ‘He’s called Chester William Baldwin, it’s a name we’ve had for ages, when we had Harry we were umming and aaahing between Chester and Harry.
‘But it may still not be – when we told them he was called Chester this morning, Harry said, “No, I want to call him Frank.’
She added: ‘Everything is just lovely. We’re just in that lovely baby bubble.’
The presenter had previously shared details about the birth, which she originally announced on Twitter.
‘It was a very exciting evening; I started having contractions at around nine in the morning. Then he arrived at 7.20,’ she revealed.
‘It was very different to my other two, I had a water birth and that was amazing and he was a really big boy. He’s so delicious, I can’t stop looking at him, he’s perfect.’
Taking to her Twitter account shortly after giving birth, Holly gushed: ‘I’m sooo happy to tell you all – we’ve just had a baby boy! Chester William Baldwin made a grand entrance at 8lbs 12. He’s just perfect. (sic).’
Several celebrities pal took to Twitter soon after to congratulate the couple on their happy news.
Amanda Holden who is covering Holly’s maternity leave on This Morning wrote: ‘Congratulations and much love to @hollywills Dan Belle Harry and new baby Chester !!I’m delighted and thrilled!!’
Coleen Rooney wrote: ‘@hollywills congratulations!! Fantastic news!! Lots of love cxx,’ while Rochelle Humes added: ‘How lovely Congrats to you and Dan xx.’
The couple, who got married in 2007, announced they were expecting another child in March on her blog.
