Busy Farm, Push, Pull and Slide

Busy_Farm_FCLR 2

There are lot of things going on at the Busy Farm and great ways for you to interact with your child. We talked about the colours on the page, what animals we could see and Eva really enjoyed the push, pull or slide feature on each page. The pages are sturdy so she could do it all by herself. The smile on her face each time spoke a thousand words. We really like the bright colours and design of these books and as a result have bought the whole set.

Noisy Jungle – Axel Scheffler

Axel-Scheffler-Noisy-Jungle-A-Counting-Sound-Book-Hardback (1)

It certainly is a noisy jungle with lots of interactive sounds and fun pictures to talk about. The story encourages counting from 1- 10 and there is a lively rhyme that flows throughout the story. The words are descriptive and once again, Axel has delivered on bringing the story to life with excellent illustrations.

Scooter Bee- Marion Billet

Whizzy_wheels_scooter_Bee_FCHR 2

For all children who love to scoot, this is a must read story. With lovely little wheels attached to the book, Eva spent ages wheeling the story around the room before we settled down to read it. Scooter Bee looks like a superhero from the start with a catchy outfit and helmet with buzzy bee colours. It is Scooter Bee’s job to rescue the football from the cheeky dog. The pages are busy with great illustrations and talking points. By the end, I was willing Scooter Bee to find the ball alongside Eva.

Poppy and Skip’s Jigsaw Nursery

Puzzle_Bunnies_Nursery_FCHR 2

A lovely story about two little bunnies, Poppy and Skip and their day at nursery. There is a nice introduction to colours and counting which was simple and would work well as a starting point for a little person. The removable puzzle on each page gave the book something extra and Eva loved taking them out, rearranging them and putting them back into the story.
