Like many first-time mothers, Helen Flanagan could be forgiven for looking tired and flustered.
However, as the soap star enjoyed a walk in the park with her newborn daughter Matilda, it looked like she was taking to motherhood like a duck to water.
The former Coronation Street actress, 24, and her footballer boyfriend Scott Sinclair, 26, looked full of the glows of parenthood as they took in some fresh air with their little lady.
Helen showed off her post-baby figure in a pair of black leggings, matching top and trainers.
Originally wearing a denim jacket and a pink scarf, with the warm summer weather, Helen wisely removed a few layers.
Meanwhile, the Aston Villa player was rather more summery looking in his shorts and shirt.
Helen and Scott announced their daughter’s birth on Instagram on June 30.
It is believed Matilda was born in Birmingham on June 29 after Helen was induced for being two weeks late.
Proud father Scott posted an image of the young family online, captioning it: ‘Best day of my life. Welcome to the world.’
Helen shared separate pictures of both her and Scott with Matilda captioning one, ‘My everything’ and another ‘The man I love and our world.’
The birth of Matilda came shortly after Scott signed a four-year deal as Aston Villa after years of loan moves and a disappointing spell at Manchester City.
Now he’s a father, Scott is relieved he can settle down with Helen and build a home for their new family after years of renting and living in hotels.
Helen and Scott started dating in early 2010 when she was just 20.
However, they split in April 2013 after Scott was alleged to have been ‘sexting’ with another woman.
A few months later, the couple were reunited, with Helen moving back into Scott’s then home.
Meanwhile, Helen has always said she wasn’t bothered about getting married before having a baby, she insisted the pair would tie the knot in the future.
She told OK! magazine recently: ‘We’ll definitely get married at some point. Scott knows what type of ring I want – one with a huge rock on it.
‘Since I’ve been pregnant we’ve been really happy – I think it’s because you share that bond.’
