New mums encouraged to treat themselves to the gift of sleep

Tommee Tippee is encouraging new mums to treat themselves to the gift of sleep with its new dream machine: Perfect Prep Day & Night. To mark the product launch, the brand compared the night-time experiences of modern-day parents in 2017 and those who were new parents in 1997.

Singing lullabies has stood the test of time (29% sang to their babies in 2017 compared to 27% in 1997) – with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Rock-a-bye Baby the top two picks for both groups. Today, pop singer Ed Sheeran even features as a bed-time favourite, but classics remain the most popular choices in the shortlist of parents’ top 10 lullabies:

  1. Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
  2. Rock-a-bye-Baby
  3. Hush-a-bye-Baby
  4. You Are My Sunshine
  5. Ba Ba Black Sheep
  6. Ed Sheeran
  7. White Noise
  8. Amazing Grace
  9. Brahms Lullaby
  10. Rainbow Connection

Aside from using music to soothe babies to sleep, there has also been a huge boom in parents deploying baby yoga (18% vs 8%) over the last 20 years, and, despite the rise in technology, parents now are more likely to cuddle their babies at bedtime (69% vs 58%).

Perfect Prep Day & Night provides parents with the peace of mind that comes from knowing their baby’s bottle will be perfect every time, right around the clock. Real-life mums and dads helped create the next generation of the best-selling machine, with new design features a direct result of their feedback. The machine prepares a formula feed bottle to the perfect temperature in just two minutes, with new features including volume control and a glow light setting.

Perfect Prep Day & Night is now available to purchase.
