Sam Faiers has named her son Paul Tony.
The former The Only Way is Essex star and partner Paul Knightley welcomed their son into the world on December 29 and it has now been revealed he has been named after his dad and uncle.
Sam told OK! the name was always planned, telling the publication: ‘We always wanted him to be called Paul after his dad.
‘It’s traditional and we didn’t have any other names on the list, so he’s Paul and his middle name is Tony after Paul’s brother, his uncle Tony.
‘We call him Baby Paul or just ‘baby’ at the moment. We haven’t called him Paul yet.’
The news comes after Sam and Paul Senior had remained fairly-tight and uncharacteristically elusive on social media since the birth of her son last month.
And it seems there’s good reason for Samantha Faiers’ silence as the reality star has announced that she and boyfriend Paul Knightley will star in new tell-all ITVBe series, Sam Faiers: The Baby Diaries.
In the 90 minute programme, Sam will exclusively invite viewers to join her unforgettable journey into motherhood as they throw open their doors and invite cameras into their home for the very first time.
Following all the highs and lows of family life in the spotlight, the new show will give viewers a front row seat as they venture into parenthood. From baby scans, birthing classes and the swanky baby shower, to coping with a newborn, breastfeeding and general lack of sleep.
ITVBe viewers will also see intimate home video footage captured whilst Sam is in labour and join the couple as they bring their baby home and cope with the first few weeks of parenthood.
Giving unprecedented access into their private life like never before,The Baby Diaries will give viewers a unique insight as Sam, Paul, their close-knit family and celebrity friends, prepare and celebrate the new arrival of their baby boy.
The news comes a short while after Sam shared an image of her sister Billie’s daughter, Nellie on Instagram on Thursday but has still resisted unveiling her new baby son.
The 25-year-old former TOWIE star was glowing in the adorable snap – where her own bundle of joy with boyfriend Paul Knightley was just visible in the corner of the shot.
Sam had all the glow of a new mum as she proudly shared the image of her make-up free face – proving she is brimming with confidence since the birth of her first child.
