Simon Cowell shares adorable picture of him and baby Eric sporting identical sunglasses

Simon Cowell became a proud father for the first time when he welcomed his son Eric into the world on Valentine’s Day.

Although the 54-year-old music mogul likes to keep his personal life private, Simon has taken to Twitter to share an adorable picture of him with his baby boy.

Showing his cute son sat on his lap in matching sunglasses as himself, he captioned the lovely image: ‘Taking after daddy’

Simon looked as if he was taking some time off from his busy schedule, as he enjoyed the day with his loved one on what appears to be a luxury yacht.

The TV star, who became a father for the first time in February when his girlfriend Lauren Silverman gave birth to little Eric, has been taking to Twitter in recent weeks to post pictures of his family.

In a previous photo, his six-month-old son can be seen sitting in a bath-seat as he gazes up at his father, while Simon tenderly gives him a little wash. Other images show the doting father take a snapshot of young Eric in his mother Lauren’s arms, staring at her face as she looked adoringly into his eyes.

Meanwhile, Simon will soon be seen on TV screens as he makes his return to X Factor as the head judge along with series regular Louis Walsh, popstar Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and new addition Mel B.

The X Factor star recently admitted that he is sure that his fellow reality show judge Cheryl – who secretly wed French restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini in July – will become a parent in the near future.

When quizzed if he and Cheryl talked about kids at the London auditions held at Wembley Arena last month, he said: ‘I have actually, yeah. I think she’s next. Louis [Walsh, fellow co-star] will be last. I wouldn’t be surprised if she did.’

Simon also revealed that he has found fatherhood a much easier adjustment than he expected.

He told BANG Showbiz: ‘It’s not that difficult – if you’ve got a good [partner], who I’ve got, it’s a lot of fun. It’s easier than I thought.’
