She’s due to give birth in February and Una Foden has teamed up with her bandmates from The Saturdays for a baby shower as she prepares for the birth of her second child.
The 33-year-old, who already has a daughter Aoife with England rugby star husband Ben Foden, has amazed her pals with how well she breezes through pregnancy.
In an interview and photoshoot for Hello! magazine, Foden said she has been lucky to have had an ‘easy time’ and her first son is shaping up to be a good weight.
However, she joked that she is hoping he is not as big as his dad.
‘Ben was a huge baby – over 11lb,’ she told the publication, ‘but although we’ve been told our son’s a good size, we’re not anticipating he’ll be a whopper like his dad.
‘Aoife was just under 8lb and we think our boy will be around the same. I know I’m very lucky to have had such an easy time of it on both occasions.’
The girls have been impressed how their colleague carries on despite the pregnancy.
Vanessa White – who attended the shower with fellow Saturdays Frankie Bridge, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King – told the magazine:
‘We did a performance just the other week and Una wasn’t even out of breath afterwards. There’s nothing she wouldn’t do – she’s like a warrior.’
Bridge, who was a finalist on Strictly Come Dancing last month, said she would love another child in addition to her son Parker if she managed as well as Foden.
‘If I did pregnancy like Una does, then definitely, but I sometimes think I’m not sure I can go through it again,’ she said.
‘I felt so big and uncomfortable and only just feel like I’ve got my body back. But then I’ll watch Parker with other children and he loves it so much and I’ll think, “I don’t want him to be an only child.”‘
Humes, who has a daughter Alaia Mai with ex-JLS star Marvin Humes, said: ‘If Marvin had his way, we’d have another one tomorrow, but I think it will be a year or two yet.’
The full interview is in the new edition of Hello! magazine which is on sale now.
